May forever sa Ayala

When you’re running out of time (not to mention, running late for work) and you’re only as fast as the person before you.. who seems to have all the time in the world, and as much as you’d like to kick her ass, there’s no way you can overtake her. Damn it.

Vanity VS Pride

“Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.”

– Jane Austen

When does passion die?

When does passion die? It’s when we wake up one day without a care in the world. It’s when we abandon all hope that something better is about to happen. It’s when we stop believing our reasons for fighting. The realization may hit us in an instant, but the dying process takes much longer. Passion dies with every disappointment, resentment and unresolved issue. We delay its death with every milestone and forged relationship, but the inevitable will run its course and the moment it does, it might be next to impossible to get it back.

Happiness is
taking an afternoon nap,
then going to Mini Stop.

Happiness is
siomai and rice for dinner,
and Magnum choco-caramel later.

Happiness is
talking about politics
and everything in between.

Happiness is
in these simple moments
not taken for granted.

I choose you.

I choose love every time I choose you.

I can easily earn money for myself, but I can never get as much love and trust as you gave and keep on giving me from anyone else (my family excluded).

You let me soar while keeping me grounded. You let me wander while keeping me guarded.

I may get lost in uncharted waters, but know that I will always come back. I always do.

You are my anchor and my harbor.

From one millenial to another

We take our freedom for granted that we almost forgot how it was given back. Thousands of (nameless) victims paid the price for your right to vote and freedom of speech. It’s a dishonor and disservice to them to insist that Martial Law was one of the Philippines’ glory days.
